I Have Fury

Kratos has never exactly been a sympathetic character, but the original God of War portrayed him as something of a tragic figure, his torment partly the result of his own bloodlust.

God of War III Remastered doesn't change much (and doesn't need to)

God of War III is now available on PS4 thanks to a port by a two-man team known as Wholesale Algorithms. Is it worth a replay? Chris ascends from hell with the verdict.

Clean HD visuals; Smoother cinematic moments; That warm, familiar massive scale carnage

There's nothing really new; The game has lost some impact with age

"God of War III Remastered (PS4) -- "Beautifully Gory""

Initially, the final installment of the God of War trilogy; the original God of War III was officially released in the early 2010. I finished the game a few years back on Playstation 3.

Spectacular 'Next-Gen' Graphics & Animations; Excellent Combat; Fluid Gameplay and Controls

Weak plot (Same as the original); Several Camera angle issues

God of War 3 was an impressive feat for its day, and it still impresses today in . Its beautiful graphics are prettier than ever, and a higher frame rate adds more fluidity to the action.

Good visual update; Great combat; Impressive scale

Weak story; Fixed camera angles

Angry and ashy.

It's one of the most thrilling openings in all of video games. As warrior-turned-deity-killer Kratos, you climb the Titan Gaia, who functions as a colossal, moving level upon which you battle Poseidon, the god of the sea.

Smooth and exciting combat; A number of excellent set piece levels; Excellent pacing keeps gameplay fresh; That phenomenal opening

Enhancements are nice but don't make the game worth buying again; One-note story and characterization

Another month, another remastered game has launched on Sony's PlayStation 4. This time around it is one of the PlayStation's marquee franchises hitting the shelves with a shiny new coat of paint: God of War. Specifically, it is God of War III.

Those that weren't blown away by God of War III in 2010 won't find much in this update to change their tune, but fans and newcomers might consider giving it a shot. Frequent re-releases and the lackluster prequel may have brought on some God of War fatigue, but this remaster can be a great reminder...
