Definitely funny, just not quite for long enough, and the surrounding game is uneven.

It's a game in which you play a goat; That really is enough, The ridiculous off-the-wall nature is genuinely amusing

Goat Simulator …one title you never thought you would hear. Considering it was released on the 1st April of all days as well. But however, this is no April fools joke. Goat Simulator is here and it's real. I take 5 minutes to give you a quick review of what I think of the title so far.

Some people still seem to be under the impression that it's a joke, but no; despite the release date of April 1st, Goat Simulator is a game that actually exists, and can be bought and downloaded via Steam right now.

The longevity of it probably depends on your sense of humour. If you find those utterly idiotic Garry's Mod videos, full of flailing limbs and exaggerated facial expressions and non-sequiturs, to be the height of comedy, then you'll probably enjoy Goat Simulator a lot more than I did, or at least...

Goat Simulator is a game jam joke entry that garnered such interest from the public, Sanctum developer Coffee Stain Studios decided to release it anyway, forgoing polish and labelling it "small, stupid, and broken". Is your money better spent on a hula-hoop, as that developer suggests?

Not the prettiest; Some clipping bugs result in respawns; Largely undirected play is not for everyone

I can't make up my mind about Coffee Stain's newest game, Goat Simulator . On one hand, it comes across as the gaming equivalent of that fart app you can buy for the iPhone - initially funny and appealing, but ultimately silly and just a tad embarrassing to admit having bought.

Exploring the world and causing trouble was really satisfying, but the appeal disappears as soon as you realise there is only one map. Hopefully Steam Workshop expands on the ideas here, otherwise it may not have much lasting appeal. A multiplayer mod is a must for the future of Goat Simulator!
