This is a neay little sports camera. It is my first and I purchased it for my upcoming trip to Cambodia. After testing it out from day time to night I have to say this little device packs quite a punch in terms of video quality. It has iso setting up to 6400.

Great Updagre
Had a GoPro Hero 3 Black previously and upgraded to this one. It has been a worthy upgrade with lost of excellent new features such as now having a built i n screen, waterproof without a case and also smooth 4k recording.

Great camera, battery life mediocre and photo not accurate
The Hero5 Black is an excellent action cam. However, the battery life is not the best and will require you to purchase additional batteries to swap out. The picture shown for this item is inaccurate because it does not come with the "Super Suit" clear housing... this comes with just the "Frame".

Pros:
- So far it has done everything well - but I have yet to test 'waterproof down to 10m' claim
Cons:
- I have large hands - it is inevitable therefore that loading micro-SD card etc
- is a fiddly operation (for me)
- However that is not the fault of the camera..

The hero 5 is much better of an upgrade than the hero 4. The 5 has great audio and it is great for pictures and videos. In the video you can actual hear people talking also there are external mic ports.

If you ask us the GoPro HERO5 Black is the best action camera of 2017. To be clear, there's a lot GoPro could make better on the HERO 5 Black and in certain categories we would prefer other cameras, but overall it is the best one out there.

Pocket sized dynamite
The camera is outstanding.Being my first gopro5 i love how it gave me such an Wide angle view maybe i was expecting the picture quality to be better but thats the best you get in a Action cam packed with many other features.voice commands are awesome.
