Great remaster of a fantastic game. However when I purchased it I believed it to be a remaster of the first three games I was wrong (Should have read the fine print) this is only the first game that has been remastered but does include all of the DLC and an extended campaign.

Nine years might as well be an eternity in video game time. Although the first Gears of War was a hugely innovative, forward-thinking take on the third-person shooter when it arrived in 2005 on the Xbox 360, two sequels and one spin-off later, today it's a respected piece of history.

Back in 2006, the original Gears of War was the killer app for the Xbox 360. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition adds a nice visual shine and beefs up multiplayer but neglects some noticeable issues with the campaign. The updated and jam-packed multiplayer component stands in stark contrast to the campaign, which adds five previously PC-exclusive chapters and adjusts checkpoints...

This game is simply amazing! I have never played a gears of war game before so i got this game and i can tell you THIS is how you remake a game! The gameplay is amazing and so much fun! The graphics are fantastic! The multiplayer is awesome! The coop is cool. And the story is great!

If you haven't played the first gears of war or if you want to play the game again then I would recommend getting this. It's a great game and replaying it again with todays graphics is amazing. Gears of war is my childhood game and playing it through again is great.

First things first. The Web site says not available in stores. This is wrong! I have seen it in many wal mart stores and it is where I bought mines. For those who enjoyed it in the 360, you will not be disappointed. This game is just as great.
