Love the game so addicted to it. Love the extra bits of campaign and Maps look fab too. Only gripe was even tho I ordered it when it was a pre order still, it arrived the Tuesday after its Friday release

Cool reminder of the 360 launch hype. Good remake. I loved gears on the begining and grew apart from it and the entire playerbase Horde on gears 3 was always fun

Ordered two weeks ago. Received the console and gears code. No issue there. Two weeks and 4 emails back and forth with support and I still don't have my tomb raider code. 1 star till that's taken care of.

This review was updated on 9/14/2015 to reflect the multiplayer portion of the game, the score did not change. The original Gears of War, in my opinion, is one of the greatest action games ever made.

Damn near essential if you've yet to experience the horror that followed Emergence Day, and very heartily recommended to those who've forgotten just what a special time that was.

Still the most brutal; intelligent; affecting cover-shooting around; A fantastic; sympathetic visual update; The new chapters make this the most complete version to date

Only really excels on Hardcore difficulty; A few missed opportunities for improvements
