Almost perfect

Even with dealing with the work around for split-screen, I still love this game. One update will fix that problem then the game will be perfect. The 3rd game of this series is very refined and fun to play. Definitely worth it.

Absolutely amazing game; Graphics and audio are great; There weren't any bugs in the single player

It's a known issue that Gears 3 will crash while trying to play split screen Horde mode; My friend and I tried it on our 3 xboxs (an original 360 pro, 360 Elite, and a MW2 edition xbox); It froze on all three; THE FIX: (for now) - We cleared the system cache and unplugged the LAN cable.

Gears of War 3 Review

The Gears universe is built on an interesting premise which doesn't feel like it has been properly explored. Replaying the first game, it's difficult to get a handle to the narrative that offers barely an excuse for all the brutal violence on screen.

Gears of War 3: Horde Command Pack DLC review

Sometimes, DLC can be stunning. Rockstar is arguably the champion of the huge, transformative expansion pack thanks to GTA IV's Episodes from Liberty City and RDR's Undead Nightmare, but plenty of other developers do great work adding a solid weight of content to their games as well.

It is a good family game

This game is a lot more enjoyable than I expected. It is a good family game. Also, you can cut of the bad language and blood. The only problem was the fact that their can't be more than two players on the same console.

Great game bad quality

Dont get me wrong with this. The game is great I could not fault it and for the price what a bargain!! Only problem being the condition it showed up at my door in. Holes in the actual box that contained the game and other items. But no damage to the items inside. Ive been fair but overall buy this!!

not as good as the other 2

I loved gears 1 and 2 and bought both on release so getting this was a no brainer. And its a let down I was after a grand finale and this isnt it . The multiplayer is identical to two and the campaign is just boring after a while, the graphics that everybody raves over are also nothing special .

Review: Gears of War 3 (X360)

Gears of War 3 (GOW3) does what's unthinkable for most Jap franchises - it concludes. Since a happy ending is in order, that means the humans eventually have to find a way to rid the planet Sera of its hostile indigenous lifeforms. Just think James Cameron's Avatar with an alternate ending.

Excellent graphics; Wholesome gore; Addictive multiplayer; Wicked weapons

Weak plot; One-dimensional characters; Repetitve boss battles; Contrived melodrama; Cringe-inducing one-liners

RAAM's Shadow delivers good Gears action and a novel way to wreak havoc, but it's hampered by uneven pacing and a lackluster narrative.

Anyone who beat the first Gears of War is likely to remember the name RAAM. This lumbering Locust general served as the tough end boss of the game that launched a franchise, and now he's back as the primary antagonist of the first downloadable campaign for Gears of War 3 , RAAM's Shadow.

Playing as RAAM provides some gruesome thrills; Series' signature combat is in fine form

Locust levels present little challenge or diversity; Human characters aren't very appealing; Slow sections diminish excitement

Gears of War 3: RAAM's Shadow

Zigzagging through different perspectives is one of the tentpoles of storytelling in Gears of War 3 , so it makes sense that the game's campaign DLC would follow suit. But instead of hopscotching between various bros- and bro-ettes-in-arms on the COG side of things, RAAM's Shadow gets fancy on us.

+ Decent gameplay variety provides some new twists not found in the main game; + Throwback prequel storyline offers a good glimpse at past characters

? How does Barrick's cigar last until the end of the entire DLC?
