Torchlight 2 Review

You wait ages for a decent loot based kill-em-up and then two come along at once. Isn't it always the way? Of course Borderlands 2 and Torchlight 2 are very different beasts, it's just something of a shame that two of the very best games of the year have released so close together.

Third-person shooter Emergence Day comes early. was a disappointment. I'm not a multiplayer type of guy so I can't really comment on that side of things but as someone who played through the original in co-op on numerous occasions the campaign in was tedious with a really weak ending.

Gears of War 3: RAAM's Shadow Review

When DLC was first introduced, I know that I wasn’t alone in being excited for the possibilities of extended single-player content. Most games take the easy route and add more online maps, skins and...

+ Lengthy adventure; + Playing as RAAM rocks; + Nice piece of lore

Offers little new; Dialogue can be grating

Gears of War 3 Review

When Gears of War debuted, it used Mad World as marketing . Monsters and rubble and darkness, that was the backdrop used to invoke hopelessness, desertion, war, and sadness in the time of the Coalition of Ordered Governments .

Purposeful campaign; Great cast of characters; Bright; colorful; even vivid environments; Mad World; Fast; frantic competitive multiplayer; Matchmaking with dedicated servers; Horde Mode 2.0

Excellent conclusion(!; Horde Mode 2.0

Review: Gears of War 3 (360)

The third installment in Epic's cover-based combat series brings Marcus Fenix's Locust-lynching saga to a satisfying conclusion.

Exhilarating new multiplayer modes like Beast and "Horde 2.0;" four-player co-op is a welcome addition; imaginatively grotesque Lambent Locust creature designs; bolder narrative this time around

Gears of War 3

It's strange to think that the Gears of War trilogy has only existed in this generation. In fact the series is even younger than that, at only five years old. It seems like longer to me. I've never considered myself to be a big Gears fan really.

Gears of War 3 follows the 2008 sequel to the 2006 original Gears of War and this time we're 18 months on – in their timeline – from the last time we saw Marcus Fenix and the Delta Squad co. knock seven shades of shit out of the Locust.

Will Vanquish Hold You Over Until Gears of War 3

Sam Gideon is simply the coolest third-person shooter action hero on a modern HD console. Sure, Nathan Drake clambers up ruins and trains with expert skill and quips at the ready, and Marcus Fenix brutes and shoots his way through the Locust hordes.

you're an action junkie; you enjoy blowing stuff up

you long for unlockables; you need more variety in your shooters; you want a mulitplayer game
