Garmin Forerunner 230 & 235 Review
Keeping track of your daily run or bike ride is an important ability to many athletes. With full capabilities to track distance, time, heart rate, and more, the Garmin Forerunner 230 and 235 give you the upper hand in your workout regime.

BSX Insight Gen2 In-Depth Review
Back in September BSX announced their Gen2 version of the BSX Insight device, which determines your lactate threshold without any invasive pricking for blood. More relevant to the Gen2 version though is that they introduced the ability to broadcast and record muscle oxygenation information from the...

Garmin Forerunner 235
Let's just get this out of the way: the Forerunner 235 is in my opinion Garmin's best watch yet. For some reason everything just meshes into a great timepiece. Where last year's Forerunner 225 (review) showed where Garmin can go with a heart rate monitor built into the watch, the Forerunner 235...
Pros:
- Great look and feel
- much improved app
- all day heart rate monitoring
Cons:
- Four day battery life
- Garmin website still needs work

Garmin Forerunner 235 Review – Best GPS Running Watch
Garmin has a lot of GPS running watches and the Forerunner 230 and Forerunner 235 are the mid-range boss hogs. They are priced at $250 and $330 respectively, however, prices are always changing so you may want to check up on that. In fact, we've seen the FR235 as low as $257 [Check on Amazon] .
Pros:
- Built-in optical HRM
- Full color
- backlit display
- Super lightweight and comfortable
- Water resistant down to 50m
- GLONASS and GPS
Cons:
- Optical HR sensor is not great for dynamic movements
- Will not track swimming metrics
- Battery life was disappointing at 3-5 days (might be updated through software update
- Does not support triathlons

An expensive toy rather than a tool for runners
The HRM is not even close to being accurate on this watch. Up to 40 to 50bpm different to several other watches that I compared it to. In addition, it sometimes does not work at all giving an resting reading (60bpm) during intense exercise.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- No Indoor Bike activity
- Inaccurate HRM
- Expensive

Faulty product
I can't believe littlewoods sent me a faulty item. When I took the watch out of the bag, it looked like it had already previously been opened. Took the watch out of the packaging and it wouldn't turn on, thought I may had to charge it up first, I've had an older version of a garmin watch before so...

Good watch
Its good but i would like some extra features as i dont get outside to ride all the time it dosnt read if im on a stationary bike nor does it read when im doing weights. Not the greatest for swimming either. Only really good for running.

I am just getting more seriously into running and this watch has been a great purchase. Tracks all of the things that I wanted, GPS seems to be extremely active. Easy to navigate. The look of it is nice. I don't wear it all day as it is a little big and too sporty, but love the look for running.

Garmin Forerunner 235: Comprehensive but slightly flawed
Somehow, Garmin has managed to carve itself a reputation as the first and last word in running watches. The Forerunner 235, confusingly, is an example of both why that reputation is richly deserved and why the company is there for the taking with the right device.
Pros:
- Oodles of features
- Fantastically comprehensive app
- Highly customisable display
Cons:
- Iffy mid-run accuracy

Had for 3 months and HRM green light that apparently calibrates the IR sensors broke. Hellish time trying to find support and Amazon directed me back to Garmin, whom answered by email, and were pretty helpful, only to conclude it was also broken. They will not upgrade it to a more powerful device.
