About November 2nd I purchased the Fuji X-Pro1 and the 35mm lens. The images produced by the Fuji product were superb even when compared to My Canon eos systems. I soon after purchased the 18 mm fixed and the 60mm fixed lens. Both were superb as well NOW to the 18mm - 55mm zoom.- When one has to change focal lengths rapidly and still get wonderfully sharp images this is the lens
- This is the lens even if one does not have that kind of work to do
- It is very well made and feels like quality through and through
- It will last a lifetime
- None
Best all around Lens
The 18-55mm f2.8 lens is the and closest lens to the 24-85mm full frame format that can be found for the Fujifilm X Pro1 camera. Size and weight are not a factor and this lens keeps the package to a reasonable size.- Durable
- Easy To Use
- Lightweight
- Reliable
A great lens but the price is high (as are all Fuji lenses).
This is my preferred lens. Although I did get the kit lens with the camera, I use this lens instead. I recently took it on a trip to Arizona where it performed flawlessly. I recommend it if you can afford it.

Great fitting and robust alternative to the brand name. I will purchase again if required.

I purchased a Fuji XE 2 with this lens, that was a few years ago. In that time I have purchase 18 F2 23 F1.4 and 14F2.8. I have try all these lenses in many different lights and subject matters.

- Minimal distortion
- Fast aperture
- Optically stabilized.

Gary Wolstenholme reviews the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS lens for Fuji X-series cameras which provides a field of view equivalent to a 27-84mm lens on a 35mm camera.- Excellent sharpness in the centre throughout the zoom range

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS Review (Review Fujifilm Fujinon Lens XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS)
The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS has a lot of appeal for photographers who want more than the very basic kit lens offers, but don't need the pro build (or price) of the XF 16-55mm f/2.8.- Very crisp optics., Bright aperture., Minimal distortion and vignette., Optical stabilization., Solidly built.
- Pricey., Not weather sealed., Omits some wide-angle coverage., Not great for macro.
Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS (Fujifilm) - Review / Test Report
The Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS may be the hottest reason to enter the Fuji system. It is amazingly sharp throughout the zoom and relevant aperture range. That is except for a high amount of field curvature at 18mm which make it necessary to stop down quite a bit in order to have an...
