Fujifilm XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS
The Fujifilm XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS is much more than just a standard kit lens. It's remarkably sharp in the image centre almost throughout the entire focal range, except at full 55mm telephoto where optimum sharpness isn't achieved until f/8.

Supurb
About November 2nd I purchased the Fuji X-Pro1 and the 35mm lens. The images produced by the Fuji product were superb even when compared to My Canon eos systems. I soon after purchased the 18 mm fixed and the 60mm fixed lens. Both were superb as well NOW to the 18mm - 55mm zoom.
Pros:
- When one has to change focal lengths rapidly and still get wonderfully sharp images this is the lens
- This is the lens even if one does not have that kind of work to do
- It is very well made and feels like quality through and through
- It will last a lifetime

Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS review by abzeal
I got this lens with my Fuji X-E1 kit and I have not been disappointed. Past experience was primarily with Pentax DSLRs and SLRs for reference. It's very well made, not quite like a rock but definitely very sturdy. The plastic lens hood is perhaps the only disappointing part.
Pros:
- Build quality
- Excellent OIS
- decent aperture
- Low CAs
- Vignette and Distortions
Cons:
- Picture quality not quite up to the primes
- auto focus is better with new firmware but still not as fast as other CSC rivals

Best all around Lens
The 18-55mm f2.8 lens is the and closest lens to the 24-85mm full frame format that can be found for the Fujifilm X Pro1 camera. Size and weight are not a factor and this lens keeps the package to a reasonable size.
