FUJIFILM FUJINON XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens - BRAND NEW review
The Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS may be the hottest reason to enter the Fuji system. It is amazingly sharp throughout the zoom and relevant aperture range. That is except for a high amount of field curvature at 18mm which make it necessary to stop down quite a bit in order to have an...

Great fitting and robust alternative to the brand name. I will purchase again if required.
Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS Review (Review Fujifilm Fujinon Lens XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS)
The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS has a lot of appeal for photographers who want more than the very basic kit lens offers, but don't need the pro build (or price) of the XF 16-55mm f/2.8.- Very crisp optics., Bright aperture., Minimal distortion and vignette., Optical stabilization., Solidly built.
- Pricey., Not weather sealed., Omits some wide-angle coverage., Not great for macro.
A great lens but the price is high (as are all Fuji lenses).
This is my preferred lens. Although I did get the kit lens with the camera, I use this lens instead. I recently took it on a trip to Arizona where it performed flawlessly. I recommend it if you can afford it.
Best all around Lens
The 18-55mm f2.8 lens is the and closest lens to the 24-85mm full frame format that can be found for the Fujifilm X Pro1 camera. Size and weight are not a factor and this lens keeps the package to a reasonable size.- Durable
- Easy To Use
- Lightweight
- Reliable
REVIEW: Fujifilm Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens Review
Handling and features This standard zoom lens for Fuji X-series cameras provides a field of view equivalent to a 27-84mm lens on a 35mm camera and sports Fujifilm's new linear focusing motor and optical image stabilisation, which promises to allow sharp hand-held images to be taken at shutter speeds...
Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS review by abzeal
I got this lens with my Fuji X-E1 kit and I have not been disappointed. Past experience was primarily with Pentax DSLRs and SLRs for reference. It's very well made, not quite like a rock but definitely very sturdy. The plastic lens hood is perhaps the only disappointing part.- Build quality
- Excellent OIS
- decent aperture
- Low CAs
- Vignette and Distortions
- Picture quality not quite up to the primes
- auto focus is better with new firmware but still not as fast as other CSC rivals

- Good build quality
- Low distortion
- Quick to focus
- Effective optical stabiliser
- Not as sharp towards the edges of the frame
- CA levels a little high at 35mm
