Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 review: It's fun, quirky, but don't expect stunning?results

Do you long for the old days when film cameras ruled? When people needed to know how to frame a phone without depending on the burst mode to get one of them right. Well, the rise of DSLRs and now smartphones has killed all of that.

What you're looking at is not a toy, it's for real and clicks pictures too but you're better off picking some other colour. Polaroid was a big craze back in the days when reel photography was appreciated by people from all corners.

Instant photography – when you took a photograph and got it printed right out of the camera – was a rage in the eighties, as it made the whole process of taking and getting a picture very fast indeed.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Review

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 is the most affordable instant camera out there, and the perfect choice for casual snappers who want to get out of the digital rut. Despite the prevalence of high-quality digital cameras, ranging from premium smartphone cameras to high-end mirrorless models, instant film is still quite popular. There's something magical about being able to snap a photo and hang it on the front of your fridge, or hand it off to a friend. There are plenty of instant cameras on the market, some with features aimed at photographers who crave extreme manual control. The Instax Mini 8 ($69.99) is a simple point-and-shoot model that doesn't offer bells and whistles. But it's a perfect choice for budget shoppers, and our Editors' Choice for entry-level models. Design The Mini 8 is a compact instant camera, measuring in at 4.7 by 4.6 by 2.7 inches (HWD) and weighing about 10.8 ounces. It features rounded edges, and is available in a variety of colors. Our review unit is finished in red—Raspberry according to Fuji—but you can also get it in Black, Blue, Grape (purple), Pink, White, and Yellow. Similar Products ...

NOT FOR INSTAX mini8

This is not for the INSTAX 8mini, it is for the 7S. Ordered on 10/25/13 received quickly. Tag clearly states for instax 7S, yet RadioShack is listing as 8mini. Still waiting for RadioShack to send the return shipping label. Poor customer service!
Cons:
  • Too Small
