Fujifilm Finepix XP10: Hit or miss underwater camera
A good underwater/ every day camera with a few niggles
Pros:
- Good every day pocket camera
- works underwater
- shock/dust/freeze proof
Cons:
- Slow
- not trustworthy
- problems with SD cards

Fujifilm Finepix XP10: Hit or miss underwater camera
After seeing the clear waters of the Caribbean in the brochures, before I went on holiday I decided I'd like to buy an underwater digital camera. I love taking photos and wanted to experiment with the underwater feature which isn't something I've ever used before on a camera!

The Fujifilm FinePix XP10 is a compact digital camera indestructible being shock resistant, frost, water and dust. It should be emphasized that, although it is a so-called rugged camera presents a beautiful and elegant design.

- Automatic scene recognition, advanced Face Detection
- Resistant to water, frost, shock and dust

Easy to use underwater. Fun little camera. Good "knocking around" unit, but image quality holds it back from serious image making. Linking several video clips into one long clip is a good feature. Zooms while capturing video, but has difficulty focusing while zooming.

The Fuji Finepix XP10 is a cheap and cheerful waterproof digital camera. It is aimed at someone who is looking for a robust digital camera that can be used in extreme conditions and can also handle the occasional bump here and there.

Fujifilm FinePix XP10 Review
Shock, water and dust proof cameras must walk a fine line between providing the amount of protection that the user requires and still taking reasonable photos. As the likes of the zoom must be internal, and the optics sealed behind a protective layer, the image quality can take a hit.

Not waterproof, as others have said
Really not a good camera at all. I can echo everything everyone else said. It's races though batteries, so even with spares it was a pain to change them. The pictures were of average quality, and really pretty dark and blurry under only a little water (snorkeling.

great camera
Used the camera 5 times already to go surfing. Took nice pictures and the video cane out very clear. Love the HD videos that it can take. Worse thing about it is the shutter lag but i can get over that.
