The X100F gets full marks not for being the best all-round compact camera, but for being brilliant at what it does. Namely, packing the build and performance of a premium camera into something that can (almost) slip into your jacket pocket. There's no doubt that £1249 is a lot to spend on a compact and, without 4K video, an articulating screen or proper interchangeable lenses, the X100F isn't the most versatile camera around. But it is the purist's choice, with superb image quality, well laid out controls and a beautiful design. If you're eyeing up a premium retro compact to be your main camera, then you should definitely also consider Fujifilm's X-Pro2, while bearing in mind the considerable cost of adding lenses to its £1349 body-only price tag. A great camera for hiking, city walking, or on vacation. Easy to use for a beginner, but it packs a great feature set that experts will love (despite its convenient size). The design and build on this camera are impeccable.

First uk digital. Dispatched the camera to me, as promised, the day after order placement. Complimentary and complementary leather case was not in stock but arrived within a few days. Excellent service. Camera is as good as the reviews. In simple terms you turn it on, point, and take great photos.

Not impressed

Not impressed. Paid a lot of money for a fixed lens camera. Yes it's fast to auto focus and yes it as all the film simulations but it's ￡1200. I ended up returning it and getting a Ricoh gr for ￡400. Same results and you get used to the slower auto focus. Save some money and get a gr

Classical camera

Great camera for street photography, etc. Nice and compact. The fixed prime lens means you have to think about composition rather than using a zoom lazily. However, there is such a high megapixel count that you can crop very aggressively and retain quality.
