Review: Fujifilm X100F
Fujifilm's fixed lens flagships seem to get better with every generation, and the series' fourth member (hence the "F") is here to stake its claim as the world's most desirable travel camera.
Fujifilm Finepix X100
Although production of Fujifilm's FinePix X100 was set back by the earthquake and tsunami that devastated north-eastern Japan, the factory in Sendai resumed production at the end of March and stocks were scheduled to arrive in Australia late in April.
Fujifilm X100 Digital Camera Review
The X100 is a truly pioneering camera that has brought retro styling back to market in a big way. Though retro styling aside the real beauty of the X100 is that it offers the market a relatively inexpensive rangefinder camera that delivers incredible image quality from a large APS CMOS sensor.
Fujifilm Finepix X100
Did anyone mention an age of austerity? Certainly not at Fuji Towers, from whence has appeared the manufacturer's most expensive and inevitably most exciting digital camera for coming up to a decade.- Superb quality quality
- Exceptional image quality
- Versatile yet easy to use
- Very expensive
- Fixed zoom lens
- Slightly fiddly controls
Fujifilm FinePix X100
The Fujifilm FinePix X100 is no ordinary compact. Made for the high-end market, this retro-looking, magnesium alloy beast is built around a large 12.3-megapixel APS-C sized sensor and fixed 23mm F/2.0 lens (that's 35mm in equivalent terms). There's no zoom to be found here.- Great image quality
- unique design
- great build quality
- ingenious viewfinder
- Not the fastest AF
- some macro focus issues
- expensive
- not for the mass market
Fujifilm X100F
The Fujifilm X100F is the latest in Fujifilm's series of fixed-length premium compact cameras. It features the latest generation X-Trans CMOS sensor, which has 24.3 megapixels - a jump up from the 16.3 megapixel sensor of the X100F's predecessor, the X100T.
Fujifilm X100F
Fujifilm's X100 series has long been a hit with photographers. Its classic design-the first version helped to popularize the retro look for digital cameras -and optical viewfinder appeals to modern photographers who, in the past, would have opted for a compact rangefinder.- Crisp wide-angle lens
- Bright f/2 aperture
- In-lens ND filter
- Fast autofocus
- Hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder
- Focus select joystick
- 1/4,000-second leaf shutter
- Physical control dials
- Film Simulation modes
- Wi-Fi
- Lens lacks stabilization
- Video limited to 1080p
- Sometimes struggles with tracking subjects
Fujifilm X100F Review: The perfect Beginner's camera
Fujifilm's X100F advanced compact has an upgraded sensor and processor.
Fujifilm FinePix X100 review
Wonderfully retro, but with performance that's right up there with today's best
Great everywhere camera
Unlike the bulky DSLR, I can take Fuji X100 with me anywhere I go. The sensor-lens combo produces excellent image quality, better than most DSLR I used. Handling takes time to get used to. Prime lens is wonderful. I don't find myself missing the wide-angle, since there is panorama mode.
