The X100F is the fourth iteration of a, by now, much loved series. They might not have quite the 'every photographer should try shooting with one' appeal of a true rangefinder, but the combination of its large sensor, small body, classic looks and layout has attracted a dedicated user base.

Review: Fujifilm X100F

Fujifilm's fixed lens flagships seem to get better with every generation, and the series' fourth member (hence the "F") is here to stake its claim as the world's most desirable travel camera.

Fujifilm X100F Review

The X100F's combination of image quality, usability and styling make it the best in the series yet. It's still a niche camera, but this latest version's limitations stem primarily from its design, rather than its implementation. A true photographers' camera.
Pros:
  • Photographers who want to revel in and be challenged by shooting with a fixed lens, fixed focal length camera.
Cons:
  • Anyone looking for flexibility or immediacy. Or video.

Fujifilm X100F review: A first-rate advanced compact shoots for stellar

An advanced compact for wide-angle and manual-photography fans, the Fujifilm X100F improves upon an already great camera with better autofocus performance and a fine-tuned design on top of its already excellent photo quality. The previous generation of Fujifilm's popular enthusiast "compact" with an APS-C-size sensor, the X100T, had been around for over two years before Fujifilm debuted the X100F, and the camera had only gotten one significant update since it launched in 2011, when the original X100 graduated to the X100S. And while the X100F has essentially the same design, albeit with a few layout tweaks, Fujifilm has made some notable improvements in the camera. That, combined with a dearth of cameras in its category -- fixed-lens compacts with large-ish APS-C sized sensors -- makes the X100F pretty much the only game in town at a reasonable price. Thankfully, it's worth the money.
Pros:
  • The Fujifilm X100F produces excellent photos and the updated autofocus system is a great improvement
  • Plus, it improves on the control layout and retains the manual-optimized shooting design and fast lens that have made it a favorite.
Cons:
  • Sad battery life.

Fujifilm FinePix X100 review

Fuji X100: Overview In the decade or so that digital cameras have been widely available, manufacturers have always looked to the design of classic cameras for inspiration. Olympus's recent PEN series harks back to the film models of the same name, while Leica's M range continues with a design long...

Fuji Finepix X100

The Fuji Finepix X100 is a uniquely intriguing camera. Its inconspicuous analog-camera look is alluring for its quantity of buttons and dials, promising efficiency while shooting. A one-of-a-kind hybrid viewfinder lets it have an EVF and an optical-tunnel viewfinder in the same place.
Pros:
  • Superb image quality in compact size
  • Extremely low noise
  • Very good sharpness from wide-open
  • Flexible rendition of colors and tones
  • Bright lens with F/2 maximum aperture
  • Real aperture ring
  • Leaf-Shutter allows High-Speed-Sync
  • Built-In 3-Stop ND Filter
  • Plenty of external controls
  • Inconspicuous...
Cons:
  • Sluggish autofocus system
  • Slow manual focus ring
  • Severe yellow cast under tungsten lighting
  • Live-Histogram shows metered exposure
  • Previews metered exposure
  • not actual
  • Clear but pointless OVF
  • Two dials needed per exposure parameter
  • No AE-L with MF
  • Illogical and under-used button functions,...

Fuji X100 Review

To be honest, I was not planning on writing a review of the Fuji X100 camera. First, because the camera was sent to me in error. As I was preparing to send it back, I was asked if I wanted to try it out, so I agreed to check it out and ended up shooting with it for a week.

The X100f is a great camera, no doubt. But so is the X100t, at a lower cost. And for my personal style of shooting I prefer the X70. With that said I still can see why you would/should go for the X100f. Good morning coffee selfie. Crazy amount of push in the shadows for this one.
