Exactly what is says on the box - 3D camera. Probably the best in the market and not too expensive either. If you have a 3D to, then your pictures can be seen in excellent quality. Also makes a decent'ish' normal camera.
Fujifilm just announced the W3, a new stereoscopic 3D compact point-and-shoot, the follow-up to the first-of-its-kind W1. We got to spend a few minutes viewing some demo images and videos taken by the W3, and even got to make a few hands-on impressions.
What a fun camera, I have a few of the old film 3D cameras but digital is the way to go, shoots great 3D and 2D you can even shoot 3D and at the same time a 2D copy, shoots 3D video too!
a very cool camera for 3D freaks low qualities, slow, not flexible with commands i always wondered with all the new 3D tv's , where is fuji with newer and better cameras
My counter is up to over 6500 pictures. Shoots flawlessly. My composition often needs help, but the camera does well. Watch scenic backgrounds. Often the sky is blown out when the land is exposed properly. All point and shoots tend to do this.
Point and Shoot Excellent 3D Good number of Presets Screen shows 3D immediately Shutter Synchronization perfect; catches falling drops of water perfectly Multiple 2D or 3D modes Gret depth of field 3X Optical Zoom Small; pocket sized Lens protector slides over both lenses at same time
Point and Shoot, so lacks DSLR controls Must allow BOTH lenses to focus, sometimes, left is a bit slower and out of focus (not often, but happens when in a hurry) Fuji software lacks features, try free Stereo Photo Maker instead; Can be slow to save files to memory.
I bought this camera to replace one I already had that developed a cracked lens. If you havent done 3-D images before you find this to be a bit of a steep learning curve. Both images and video have quirks on some displays/tv's that you need to adjust for.
It's been over a year since Fujifilm released its first 3D camera, the Real 3D W1, which was revolutionary. For the first time the consumer could take 3D pictures easily using a fairly portable camera.
I had been using twin camera rigs and beam splitters for years to get stereo images. I have used the W3 for three weeks now. This camera greatly simplifies capturing 3D stills AND 3D HD video. I do not have a use yet for the video, but the market is trending that way, so I am ahead of that curve.
Digital 3D still and video made easy
No hot shoe/PC connection; lens cover/on-off switch may be a weak point
If you've just bought a snazzy new 3D HDTV, one of your first questions will probably be, "What can I watch on this set?"Â You can shoot your own 3D content - and you don't have to spend a fortune to do so.
