Fitbit Versa 2
Fitbit Versa 2 is the second generation of Fitbits popular Versa smartwatch series. It includes several improvements compared to the original Fitbit Versa model. First of all, it features an always-on display. Hence, there's no need to press a button or moving the wrist to turn on the screen. This obviously affects battery life, which has decreased from five days to four days. Secondly, Versa 2 has Amazon's digital assistant Alexa built-in. The user simply asks Alexa to perform certain tasks, and responses can be viewed on the screen. Please note that this smartwatch lacks a speaker, so oral responses aren't possible.
A newer model Fitbit Versa 3 was released in August 2020.

The Versa 2 is a solid tracker, now with an enhanced screen and Alexa, but there are better options available at its price- The design has been improved compared with the Versa, with a larger AMOLED screen that you can set to be always-on, and the Fitbit logo removed from the front of the watch
- Despite the new screen, the battery life is still good enough that you’ll only have to charge the Versa 2 after two to three...
- The screen is not bright enough to see easily when outside, which becomes more of an issue when running or cycling
- Spotify support is limited to controlling playback from the app on your phone – you can’t sync playlists to the Versa 2 to play offline.
Fitbit Versa 2 : Just short of greatness
The Fitbit Versa 2 is a worthy upgrade but the lack of GPS holds it back- Looks fantastic
- Balanced set of features
- The Fitbit app is great
- No built-in GPS
- No offline Spotify playback
Fitbit Versa 2 Review – Progressive Changes Yet Still Affordable
With the smartphone being such a ubiquitous part of everyday life, the less intuitive smartwatch isn't always the ideal replacement for most users. As such, the price of these units isn't always justified.- Price point
- Great battery life
- Sleep tracking and insights
- Internal music storage
- Spotify doesn't stream directly
- Alexa needs better integration

In Versa 2, Fitbit has finally nailed the smartwatch formula, pairing a smooth, responsive OS with appropriately powered hardware. That said, some more apps wouldn't go astray.

Fitbit Versa 2 Bordeaux/Copper Rose FB507RGRW review
“The Fitbit Versa 2 has excellent battery life, but important fitness insights are locked behind a subscription.”- Affordable
- Multi-day battery life
- Native sleep tracking
- On-device music storage
- Intuitive interface
- Offers few insights (without paying extra)
- Can’t stream from Spotify
- Looks like an Apple Watch knock-off
- Alexa is largely useless
