Fitbit Versa 2
Fitbit Versa 2 is the second generation of Fitbits popular Versa smartwatch series. It includes several improvements compared to the original Fitbit Versa model. First of all, it features an always-on display. Hence, there's no need to press a button or moving the wrist to turn on the screen. This obviously affects battery life, which has decreased from five days to four days. Secondly, Versa 2 has Amazon's digital assistant Alexa built-in. The user simply asks Alexa to perform certain tasks, and responses can be viewed on the screen. Please note that this smartwatch lacks a speaker, so oral responses aren't possible.
A newer model Fitbit Versa 3 was released in August 2020.

Fitbit Versa 2 Bordeaux/Copper Rose FB507RGRW review
The Fitbit Versa 2 is an improvement over the original Versa, but Fitbit still has plenty of work to do....- OLED display is a nice upgrade Accurate fitness and health tracking Sleep tracking/Sleep Score are very useful Fitbit Pay now available on all models When it works
- Alexa is convenient New Fitbit app is cleaner
- easier to use
- Fitbit OS still needs plenty of work No built-in GPS Quick release straps are a pain Amazon Alexa is slow and missing features
Fitbit Versa 2 hands-on: Alexa, OLED, and an always-on display make a compelling upgrade
Fitbit Versa 2 review: The subscription smartwatch
When the Fitbit Versa debuted, it filled a niche for people who wanted smartphone notifications but championed wellness first. It was a good compromise between the two, but didn’t deliver fully in either regard. The Fitbit Versa 2 is even more like a smartwatch than ever before, with Alexa and Spotify integration as well as an AMOLED screen. However, fitness insights come at a cost with Fitbit Premium, a new subscription service. The paywall for more detailed insights leaves much to be desired for data-hungry athletes, but the Versa 2 is still a strong contender in a crowded space. The Versa 2 looks an awful lot like the Pebble Time grew up to be an Apple Watch, albeit slightly wider and missing Apple’s rotating crown. The chamfered edges of the casing offer some distinction, but I couldn’t stop seeing an Apple Watch knock-off every time I looked at the Versa 2. Build quality is better than any knock-off though. It feels solid, lightweight, and well-crafted. The included silicone band ...- Affordable
- Multi-day battery life
- Native sleep tracking
- On-device music storage
- Intuitive interface
- Offers few insights (without paying extra)
- Can’t stream from Spotify
- Looks like an Apple Watch knock-off
- Alexa is largely useless
Fitbit Versa 2 Bordeaux/Copper Rose FB507RGRW review
The Versa 2 is a solid tracker, now with an enhanced screen and Alexa, but there are better options available at its price- The design has been improved compared with the Versa, with a larger AMOLED screen that you can set to be always-on, and the Fitbit logo removed from the front of the watch
- Despite the new screen, the battery life is still good enough that you’ll only have to charge the Versa 2 after two to three...
- The screen is not bright enough to see easily when outside, which becomes more of an issue when running or cycling
- Spotify support is limited to controlling playback from the app on your phone – you can’t sync playlists to the Versa 2 to play offline.

Fitbit Versa 2 review: smart fitness tracker, dumb smartwatch
Fitbit's name has been synonymous with fitness trackers since its inception. But for the past few years, the company has also been branching into the smartwatch world to compete with the likes of the Apple Watch and Samsung's wearable lineups.- Comfortable
- lightweight design
- Week-long battery life
- Screen is bright and easy to see outdoors
- Great fitness and sleep-tracking features
- Voice replies are handy for Android users
- Changing straps is still a huge chore
- despite the quick-release pins
- Always-on display is too simple and not customizable enough
- Alexa integration is clumsy and largely pointless
- Smartwatch productivity features are lacking
