Fitbit Charge 3
Fitbit call the Charge 3 "our most advanced tracker ever". Given what they've produced in the past, that is one bold statement!
24/7 heart rate insights
The Charge 3 uses Fitbit's most advanced heart rate sensors and algorithms, giving you 24/7 heart rate tracking. Talking about matters of the heart, the real-time heart rate zones reveals when you're in Fat Burn, Cardio or Peak zones during your workout.
Accurate calorie burn info
Many devices take a wild guess where calorie burning is concerned. The Charge 3 promises more accurate information in this area so you can get a better idea of how many calories you're really burning.
Auto sleep tracking
This feature tells you how long you're in light, deep and REM sleep so you can get an improved insight on how much quality rest you're actually getting.
Excellent for exercising
SmartTrack automatically records common exercises like running, swimming, and various sports. Meanwhile, with 15 goal-based exercises, including running, cycling, swimming and circuit training, it's easy to set goals and track your progress with real-time stats. For more real-time tracking, connect the Charge 3 with your phone's GPS to track pace and distance during outdoor runs and rides.
A female friendly Fitbit
With the female health tracking feature, the Charge 3 can be used in conjunction with a Fitbit app to track periods, record symptoms and estimate ovulation and fertility windows.
Water off a duck's back
The design and construction of the Fitbit Charge 3 is as tough as you need it to be during strenuous workouts. It's water resistant up to 50 metres making it ideal for the pool...or the shower you take afterwards!

Fitbit Charge 3 review
The Fitbit Charge 3 is quite the improvement over the Charge 2, but you should only upgrade if you're after a more slick, lightweight design, a slightly larger display and a few new fitness tracking features. It's now been superseded by the Charge 4, but remains a good choice if the lack of on-board GPS isn't a deal-breaker and you're on a tight budget.
Fitbit Charge 3 review
In improving the interface, display, features and battery life for a price that's less than the Charge 2’s RRP, Fitbit has successfully redesigned its most popular product with the Charge 3. Given that it comes two years after the Charge 2 we think it’s a warranted upgrade for Charge 2 owners, particularly if you desire the longer battery life and full waterproofing. And for first-time buyers, you won’t find a better-featured activity tracker on the market at such a fair price. It looks like a worthy upgrade to Fitbit's most popular-ever fitness tracker.
