First time user of an induction cooktop and very impressed with the speed and control over the old electric element dinosaur. Never has it been easier or had better results cooking rice by absorption method. The touch controls are very simple to use and give you a lot variability in heat control, you can heat the pan in seconds to sear a steak then drop the temp down almost instantaneously. Ridiculously easy to keep clean but downside is it makes the rest of the kitchen look dated! All this and it's also more efficient and cheaper to run.
