Review: Evolve (PC)

There's a very weird thing about Evolve. There's a lot of it to love, but then again, at the same time, there's not enough of it. It sounds a bit paradoxical but bear with me.

Intense action; Evacuation Mode is great fun; Levelling system

Lack of content (modes, characters, maps, A.I; could be more polished

Evolve review: Hunt or be hunted

Evolve is certainly something different enough to labeled as new, and for that developer Turtle Rock Studios, makers of the massively successful Left4Dead series of games, needs to be applauded.

Evolve is a great team-based co-op or offline game where players can work together to take down a giant creature or play as the beast themselves.

Evolve requires a healthy amount of practice to find your bearings; Occasionally players might find themselves in a frustrating game of chase during a round

Evolve

Trust me, 4v1 isn't much of a handicap when monsters are involved. Developer Turtle Rock Studios worked on the Left 4 Dead series with Valve, so it's only fitting that the same company manages to create another meaningful "co-petitive" hybrid experience with Evolve .

It's fun few hours, but honestly, i can't recommend it at this price. The content is kinda poor and the list of DLCs already available give me an headache. It should have been a F2P, that's a major disappointment.

Evolve review

Evolve is the biggest name in the recently-ascendant asymmetric multiplayer genre, from a studio that had it mastered with its very first release. Is ganging up as fun this time around? James Cullinane unleashes the beast.

Finely balanced gameplay with clearly defined team roles; Clever map design; Dynamics that deliver some of the best emergent experiences in the genre

The need for teamwork makes playing with strangers difficult

Evolve Review

In the weeks prior to Evolve's release, there was an outcry regarding 2K's DLC plan, which appears to have sectioned off large chunks of Evolve's content to be sold after the fact.

Evolve

I used to work with a guy that was pretty funny. Sometimes when he was talking to someone about say, a movie, he would listen to their opinion, good or bad and then he would bring up points to the contrary until he had convinced them to do a 180 degree flip.

Great graphics; tense team based gameplay; solo offline gameplay with bots; variety of characters with unique skills; huge powerful bioengineered Monsters; several game modes

Repetitive gameplay at its core may cause early burnout; grinding required to unlock other characters; overload of pre order and add on options

Battlezone: The Red Odyssey

Battlezone, released early last year, was a great game; one that had me playing it for weeks over the Internet. It had come out of nowhere and had given corrective surgery to a brand new Action/RTS genre which Uprising started.

Evolve

You can literally finish a game mode and the game redirectypu to the menu, and it will clear your saved game, but wait your game doesnt save your last progression or after each game which means the game doesn't save at all making you start from the beginning with adjusting the brightness, screen...
