Hole in one!
Hole in one!
It's been four years since the long running series graced Playstation consoles and the simply titled Everybody's Golf does a great job reminding people why the series has provided gamers with so many fond memories dating all the way back to the original Playstation.
Not many people know this, but I actually pursued a career in professional golf in my younger years. That unfortunately didn't pan out for me, so playing virtual versions of the sport is the next best thing. Or is it?
Solid golf game; A lot of character customisation; Surprising attention to detail; Easy to pick up and play
Online feels a bit bare boned; Music can become a bit repetitive
Fore play.
A hell of a lot of fun; Content rich; Turf War is fantastic
Frustrating content strangulation; Avatars look a little naff
A vibrant interpretation of golf that expands on the series' distinguished lineage without compromising, or distracting from, its strengths.

Put on your tackiest sweater and pull up those socks, it's time to hit the green! Developed by Clap Hanz, Everybody's Golf is best known in North America as Hot Shots Golf, a series that rose to fame in the west on PS1.
Integrated Online Mode; Lighthearted; Challenging; Easy Controls
Limited Customization; Lacking Tutorial; Unreliable Auto Impact
PlayStation 4 launch game Knack was most memorable for its impressive use of particles; it used lots of tiny floating cubes, spheres, and pyramids to make up its main character. But beyond that, it was a throwback to PlayStation 2-era of linear 3D action games.
Looks and sounds excellent; Move set gets more varied and interesting as you go; Clever use of Knack's size makes for enjoyable platforming and puzzle solving
Gets off to a slow start; Some artificial padding leads to repetitive challenges; Heavily coop focused; making puzzles more difficult for a single player
A long time ago, three console generations back, the world was introduced to Hot Shots Golf . Instead of the stuffy and boring style adopted by most golf games at the time, Hot Shots Golf made virtual golfing hip, cool and most importantly…fun.
