If you want years of aggravation, choose this printer.

Great print quality if you can get it to print. After three years of problems, I'm throwing in the towel. Here are some of the issues: 1) It takes forever to print. The sound of parts moving around before the printing actually starts can go on for minutes. 2) Sometimes it only prints half an image.

For serious-hobbyist or semi-pro photographers on a budget, this wide-carriage printer offers superb image quality and value. If you do a lot of printing, though, note that the ink costs are a bit high.

Prints up to 13 inches wide; Excellent price; Superb image quality; Auto-switches black inks; Prints to roll paper; CDs/DVDs; Wi-Fi connectivity

Costlier ink than Stylus Pro 3880; Wastes ink when switching certain modes

Epson Stylus Photo R3000 Review

Epson has had a long mainstay in the printer category and with more number of photographers and artists embracing digital photography, a professional photo printer definitely makes for a worthy investment, not only for budding enthusiasts, but also for pros.

Home printing is still very popular with the enthusiast photographer, especially those using more advanced art papers. For printing A3 at home, there are two brands that dominate the market, and Epson has traditionally provided a couple of these models to choose from.

Epson Stylus Photo R3000 review

For many enthusiast photographers Epson's Stylus Photo R2880 is the printer they use, or aspire to using. Though it produces excellent prints, it suffers from two often cited problems, both of which the new R3000 addresses.

That said, what you get for $550 (or perhaps even cheaper if you shop around) is quite impressive. In fact, aside from the lack a few modern mobile connectivity options, the R3000 isn't that much different from the P600.

Excellent print quality

Epson R3000 have produced excellent print quality in my limited use since its delivery. The only negative point will be how long the cartlidges will last and after how many papers printed since the price tag of each cartlidge at the moment is quite pricy.
