I'm no tech guy or professional photographer. That being said this thing is NICE pictures are wonderful! Just as good as we get from photographer. Set up was cake. Even for a non computer guy. Only thing I don't like is the whole paper try thing kinda stupid design. But I can live with it.
This printer replaced a printer that required ink cartridges. I got so tired of buying ink cartridges that seemed to dry up even when I didn't print very often. So, this Epson may seem expensive, but it's worth it for the ongoing printing costs, which are very low.
This printer is definitely going to save us money. A real workhorse for everyday volume printing. Loading ink is very easy and clean and start up went fantastic. But even with fantastic paper the print is not quite as crisp as my Epson pigment Photo stylus printers nor a HP 7510 I have been using.
Although there are a number of reviews listed on Amazon for this product, as I started my research I noticed that every single one were from people that received the product for for free.
One of the first consumer-grade, five-ink EcoTank photo all-in-ones, Epson's Expression Premium ET-7700 prints very well at exceptionally low costs per page.
Excellent print; scan; and copy quality; especially photos; Very low cost per page; Easy to set up and use; Redesigned ink receptacles make refill foolproof
No automatic document feeder; No auto-duplexing; Very basic feature set and capacity
As a photo-centric all-in-one positioned for consumers, the Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Supertank Printer provides reasonably good photo quality at an insanely low cost per print.
Very low running costs; Comes with an abundance of ink; Very good text quality; Above-par graphics
Lacks ADF or fax capabilities; Expensive for its features; Photo quality unimpressive for a photo-centric inkjet
The Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 EcoTank All-in-One Supertank Printer ($549.99) is the smaller, less expensive, and less capable of two photo-centric all-in-one printers recently released by Epson. It can print borderless photos up to 8.5 by 11 inches, while the Epson Expression Premium ET-7750 EcoTank Wide-Format All-in-One Supertank Printer goes as large as 11-by-17-inch prints. The ET-7700 has a limited feature set for an all-in-one printer at its price—lacking an ADF (automatic document feeder) for scanning and copying multipage documents, for example—but has extremely low running costs, enabling you to print 8.5-by-11 color photos for barely a penny per print. But although it has five ink bottles, adding a photo black, its overall photo print quality is merely average. Photo Printing for a Pittance Although inkjet printers that feature extra ink cartridges—in addition to the standard black, cyan, yellow, and magenta ink normally used in color printing—in an effort to imp...
The Epson Expression Premium ET-7700 AIO printer has a high purchase price but offers very low running costs thanks to its use of bottled ink, although its photo quality proved merely average in our testing.
