I bought one, it was DOA, did the return policy, lost a week in the process. The replacement came, and there was a SHORT! the power output had a short to the outer casing. To add insult, my computer case, like most, is metal and conductive, took my mother board with it the moment I turned it one.
I have to admit I was not happy at first because the first one I received was dead on arrival. But after taking it back to microcenter they were able to replace it with a new PSU and help me get the new one installed into my PC and it has been running great ever since.

Almost every large manufacturer of anything computer-related has been trying to diversify towards that segment of the market. EVGA, renowned as a GFX card maker, is no exception.
The Bronze 500W is a single-rail power supply that can supply up to 40A or 480W on the 12V cables, and for the 5V and 3.3V rails it's 20A and 24A, respectively. It's not a modular power supply, which means all cables permanently attached.
