I bought this v8 in last month it works great as advertised.

We returned our first V7 one week after we bought it. It had gasket problems. After we got another V7 and the power button failed not turning the motor on. I suspect since this type of design holding all that weight with the button it will be prone to failure.

I love my V8. I couldn't use a vacuum at all because I have an injury so I gave my old barrel type to my daughter even though it is less then 4 years old. I swear-by Dyson's products But this is a beauty. I have a 2 bedroom apartment & the first time using it I cleaned the whole unit with no pain.

This is our first cordless and it's changed the whole way we vacuum. We now do it multiple times a week and even my kids can use it. Best investment!!

Poor suction in normal mode; When you switch over to max mode, the suction is good but this reduces battery life to approx 5 minutes and then it takes 5 hours to re-charge; Did not expect this from the Dyson brand

Amazing product.

This is a premium engineered and built product, superb fit and finish , with performance to match. Bought in the Xmas sales, so can't comment on longevity in use, but it's performance is way ahead of anything we've had before. Only criticism is charging time being around 4-5 hrs.

Best vacuum cleaner I have ever had and I have had a few as i have always had animals the suction on this is amazing don't need new carpets now the pile is as they were when new

This model has it all for all floor types so if your place has mixed flooring this is the one for you. Plenty of capacity, easy to use and so powerful. For ease of use I would recommend the base station is installed next to a power socket so a consideration for where you are going to keep it.
