This vacuum is so hard to push on normal/ non-thick carpet even when you slide it away from max setting. Further to this it leaves fluff behind I’ve read other comments with customers having the same issue. People have been encouraged to “move the red slider on the front of the head away from the "MAX" setting, this should make it easier to push” . This doesn’t work. It is ridiculous to have paid so much money for a vacuum that doesn’t work on ordinary carpet. Apparently other Dyson models (eg upright ball multi) have the same issue. People have posted quick fixes on the internet. Unfortunately this one doesn’t have one.

"Dyson Champion" I have tried out my new Dyson Big Ball and am thrilled with it's performance especially on the carpet and with my dogs pet hair. The attachments are fantastic enabling me to give my car a thorough clean getting rid of all the pet hair and sand. The hard floor tool makes cleaning as simple as in between door frames so much easier the swivel head helps guide around obstacles and areas where the turbo head cant fit. Dyson have thought of everything right down to the easy bin emptying and the fact that my vac doesn't tip over when I am using it! Thank You Dyson my house is complete with this new product.

Purchased this vacuum after owning the DC41 Animal upright for 7 years. I loved the DC41 as it did such a great job but didn't like the upright design. Chose to change hoping it would be better but the Big Ball Animal+ isn't what I thought it would be. Cord is not long enough and the head on it doesn't do that good on tiles or carpet with pet hair. I have to go over the carpet multiple times to get rid of the pet hair. I am happy that I could vacuum under the beds and my sons cot which I couldn't do with the upright without having to get on the floor.

We have always loved dyson and when we needed to replace the older model this one was recommended. I am a senior and this vacuum is: heavy so it is difficult to move around the room, parts are difficult to assemble, takes up a lot of cupboard space and is noisy. Our last model which is now not on the market was good. There is only one positive feature about this model and it is it has good suction. Maybe too much suction as it makes it difficult to vacuum. Also the handle is silly and hard work. Would I recommend the dyson cinetic big ball animal product NO. Also it has damaged some of our door frames as it seem to bang against things rather than gently move around them. Sad after our last dyson this one is a big disappointment.

Hi, Have used dyson vaccuums for over 13 years and loved them. The old standard yellow upright and yellow barrel. I updated to a Big Ball Animal Vaccuum last year. Works well except the debris collects up the top of the barrel near the inlet hose ( ?) and doesnt go down to the bottom. I cant use it for long before I have to empty it as the pipe gets blocked. Quite frustrating really. I bought it thinking it would be a bit more heavy duty for animal hair etc. Did I buy the wrong vaccuum for my needs ? Or are others having the same problem
