This game is hot garbage. I liked Dynasty Warriors years ago when it first came out, but this is just more of the exact same, but worse. It actually took a step back between the Xbox and Xbox 360.

It goes without saying that the series has been in a rut for at least 3 iterations now (Dynasty Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends is the last time I remember this formula ever working). What's such a shame is that it wouldn't take a whole lot to build this franchise into something relevant.

"The Dynasty Warriors Series has always been a favourite of mine. The hacking and slashing nature of the game allows you to become and demonstrate the truly exaggerated nature of Luo Guanzhong's "Romance of the three Kingdoms" - though this one seems to have gone a little of course.

Fewer characters; less historical accuracy; bad renbu system

This game followed the others in the series very closely which i viewed to not be a good thing. Once again it had the same levels but i suppose they can't change those seeing as it is history but apart from that, they didn't really change much else.

Dynasty Warriors 6 is a years-old game masquerading as a new one. Old gameplay and old visuals mean that if we want some crowd-mashing fun, we'll be digging out a previous iteration before this one.

This is the 8th or 9th KOEI game for the Xbox 360 by my count. Dynasty Warriors 6 doesn't deviate much from its predecessors, except unlike in previous Dynasty Warriors games you now have achievements!

When Dynasty Warriors 6 was released in Japan last year, PS3 sales trumped the Wii for the first and only time. But even though Far Eastern gamers can't get enough of Koei's epic series and its myriad spin-offs, this sixth instalment of dizzying brutality still isn't enough to seduce Western players...

However it seems that someone at BXB enjoyed my ramblings enough to allow me to cast my thoughts on the latest adventure for the three dynasties of Shu, Wu and Wei with the aptly named Dynasty Warriors 6 .
