If you like Japanese hack-and-slash games, this is a good one. From a visual perspective, arguably the best ever released for a next gen console. However, it is still ultimately a button masher, and the strategic additions are not yet significant enough to change this.

It goes without saying that the series has been in a rut for at least 3 iterations now (Dynasty Warriors 3 Xtreme Legends is the last time I remember this formula ever working). What's such a shame is that it wouldn't take a whole lot to build this franchise into something relevant.

The ultimate warrior game. Run around and defeats hundreds to thousdands of warriors every game with fun and difficult missions (if you so choose) to maximize your dynasty. Too much fun.
