BioWare is a developer well known for its epic RPG series such as Mass Effect and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic . Dragon Age: Inquisition marks the third major entry into the Dragon Age franchise that first appeared back in 2009 with Dragon Age: Origins .

Dragon Age: Inquisition creates a massive, vibrant world on a scale far greater than its predecessors, and does an excellent job of making you feel in command. The heart of this game rests with its characters, who keep you invested in the action.

It's been three and a half years since Dragon Age 2 was released and a lot has come to pass in the gaming world in the meantime. Has Inquisition been worth the wait? I brought along enough food and drink to last me a couple of days, and travelled to Thedas in search of an answer.

Dragon Age Inquisition isn't perfect -- but pretty close and very easily the best in the series by a wide margin.
