Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Review

The Deus Ex series has been in a league of its own since its debut back in the year 2000, vividly painting an engaging cyberpunk world riddled with conspir

Engrossing narrative; Immersive world; Fantastic gameplay; Great side content

Lackluster finale

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

An excellent sequel that expands your toolbox and offers complex, multifaceted environments to explore.

New augmentations build on old favourites; Intricate environments with multiple routes; They've fixed boss fights; Loads of triangles

Mankind's division is awkwardly handled; Major characters are better rendered than minor ones; Too many triangles

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Review

It's worth being honest right off the bat here and saying, for the record, that Deus Ex: Human Revolution was my third favourite game of the last generation, behind The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

So much choice; Combat is tight and responsive; Great setting and story

Some odd AI behaviour; Shonky cutscene animation; Not a real leap from Human Revolution

"...Even though Mankind Divided's story doesn't quite reach the same heights as its predecessor, the overall package is still an undeniably strong follow-up to one of the best cyberpunk RPGs of the past decade." ? 2016 Square Enix, Eidos Montreal. All rights reserved.

Much improved graphical presentation and absolutely stellar level design; Prague is a joy to explore; meaty side missions; another excellent soundtrack from Michael McCann

Animations are still laughably stiff; main story and characters aren't as interesting or engaging as Human Revolution's; ending feels a little like sequel bait

(PlayStation 4 Review) Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided opens with an option to view a recap of its predecessor, Human Revolution . I advise checking out the 12-minute video, even for those who have completed the game.

PS4 Review - 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided'

Set in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution, Adam Jensen returns and joins forces with an Interpol-funded task force aiming to hunt down and capture augmented terrorists in a world that now hates and fears transhumans.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

The best works of science fiction serve to turn a mirror to the all-too-familiar issues that plague our modern society, and in that regard, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a razor-sharp looking glass.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (Digital)

As a game, 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' has the power to draw me in. That's a power seldom seen at this level, where rebellious heroes and evil organizations are a dime a dozen. With enveloping gameplay, a stimulating story, a signature art style, an excellent soundtrack, and the spin-off-worthy...
