People give this so much flak for changing as much as it did. Yet, take call of duty, and people complain that it doesnt change at all. Haha i can see why big game companies dont take risks. I guess it shows that gamers truly dont know what they want.

The new weapon system; the new enviroment; new crafting system; new enemies; man they really did a lot to give a new experience

The checkpoint system kinda stinks; but it was to accommodate the co op

I really felt like I was a part of the game! But when i found out that you could do the missions Co Op I was thinking "Oh man I have to get this!" I then played with my buddy and we beat the game! i HIGHLY recomend Dead Space 3 to everyone!

After playing the epic Dead Space 1 and the decent enough Dead Space 2, I was looking forward to this one. After 1 hour of play I switched it off really disappointed. It goes for action rather than the creepy, downright terrifying, leap out of your skin moments of it's predecessors.

Space, aliens, and an alien world. Plus the multiplayer is active, and I am certain that you will have to play it at least twice since it is lots of fun.

Where was this when Dead Space 3 was released? That's an important question when looking at DS3 's recently released DLC, Awakened , and one I'll get back to in a moment.

This DLC should have been part of the main game; Very short for $10; Totally different tone from the rest of the game

Dead Space 3 is a pretty good addition to the franchise and, while it tries to respect the core of the series, quite a few of its additions don't really hit their targets, like the scavenging component or the co-op, to some degree.

-A lot of backtracking; -The scavenging and crafting can get boring; -Awkward mini-games

I wonder: with the threat of the Necromorphs theoretically dealt with, is the Dead Space franchise itself now just as dead? And should we be content with three games in a series, or do you want more?

Strong graphical style and detail; excellent combat; good resolution to the story

Annoying save system; routine boss battles; charges for cheats

games. I feel that horror action games have fallen into a rut that combined cheap scares with limitations on controls or movement along with other bits of awkwardness that turn what could be a fun, thrilling experience into a tedious one.

Dead Space came out of nowhere. It proved that in the days of Call of Duty and the other mega franchises, there was still space for a genuinely new and exciting series of games.

Graphically stunning; action packed; gun creation

Repetitive; not scary

Dead Space 3 is one of those games that, at first glance, I would usually avoid as I am easy to scare. That said, I have played both of the previous titles and loved them both; the second especially for forever embedding the eye and needle scene into my nightmares.
