i put the game in the console and I wanted to play start up ok but when you are in the middle of the game like the jungle part the game freeze up and won t play and you have to shut off the console and wait a minute and when start up itgoes all over again to play get in the middle of another part...

Dead Island Riptide is a decent addition to the original game, but it is essentially the same. You follow the same characters, the gameplay is very similar to Dead Island and you kill more zombies. I found this game to be more boring than the original, however it is my personal opinion.

Playing Dead Island: Riptide is like trying to swim in a giant vat of molasses. It's impossible to come up for air. Cloying zombie waves stick to you, dragging you down and turning the entire activity into a worthless battle of attrition.

Oh my god, what happened. I played the original some time ago and absolutely loved it, so I was really looking forward to playing this sequel. So you can imagine my dissapointment when after 2 hours of play I feel into a coma.

It starts promisingly enough: a mad dash off a sinking ship, a military coup, and a zombie horde just aching to be shown the business end of a shotgun. And then, just like that, the promise is taken away.

It's clearly been made in a hurry and with no more care than the deeply flawed original, which means only the truly zombie-obsessed should apply.

The premise still has obvious appeal and the dynamic weather and improved melee combat is a step forward; Online co-op is fun with friends, especially with the new mission type

The controls, gunplay, script, and voice-acting still feel like a no-budget fan mod; Role-playing elements remain simplistic; Very expensive for such a minor expansion

Much like the original then, Riptide is casual fun when approached from the viewpoint of a group of players that aren't averse to grieving their own kind, but don't expect much more than a tense slog otherwise.

The first Dead Island was an interesting breath of fetid air, and one that made for a novel take on zombie survival.
