My Favourite Zombie Game.

I am a 48 year old man and i been gaming most of my life and every now and then there comes along a game that sucks you in and keeps your attention as usually i can get bored quick of some games, I have never really been into zombie games until dead island came out and i was hooked.

if you like the first one, then you'll like this

its a fun game while sometimes it feels repetitive. most often than not, a player from the first dead island game will find themselves asking, what's...

a sequel to the first game

almost identical

Dead Island: Riptide review

Dead Island: Riptide is not worth your time. Despite a promising prologue, everything turns to crap quickly. Missions are almost universally tedious and repetitive, characters are horribly unconvincing, and co-op multiplayer is apparently missing altogether.

+ Smooth visuals; + Solid gameplay engine

- Characters are shockingly unconvincing; - Missions are tedious and repetitive; - Frustrating Plot; - Co-op is broken out of the box

"Heaps of fun"

If you played the first dead island there you may find this to be a tiny but repetitive as it does sort of follow the main story lines flow but it does offer heaps of new missions and expirences plus a new twist to how the zombie outbreak is spreading.

Dead Island Riptide

"Though its story falls flat, Riptide still manages to build and maintain an immense amount of tension." "The brutal, weighty melee combat is a well-designed experience you won't find anywhere else...

The creepy atmosphere; The brutal; weighty combat; Killing zombies with friends

The cheesy characters and plot; The retread of familiar locations; Running into occasional technical issues

Dead Island: Riptide Review

' It starts promisingly enough: a mad dash off a sinking ship, a military coup, and a zombie horde just aching to be shown the business end of a shotgun. And then, just like that, the promise is taken away.

Cool blood effects and dismemberments

Boring; repetitive missions; Weak voice acting and dialogue; Soulless; irritating characters; Frustrating combat

Dead Island Riptide Review

Publisher Deep Silver had their first big runaway hit in 2011's Dead Island , a free-roaming zombie action game on a picturesque South Pacific island - or, at least, what used to be one before most of the island's inhabitants and tourists were turned into bloodthirsty undead.

Dead Island: Riptide Review – PC

Ultimately, Dead Island: Riptide doesn't add much to spice up the basics of the game. If you're still a fan of the game's basics, then feel free to add a couple stars onto the rating. There's a whole new map to explore, and an infinite number of things to kill there, and new weapons to break.

Dead Island: Riptide (PC) Review

It truly is time to go back to the island as Drew reviews Riptide. Find out how it stacks up inside.

+ Character progression; + Modifying weapons; + John is pretty awesome; + Tons of content

Story is still lackluster; Combat can get old; Reused skills for first game

Dead Island Riptide (PC) Review

Is Dead Island Riptide like Dead Island? Yes. Very much so. The visuals and gameplay are pretty much identical, with the same strengths and weaknesses. Same goes for the story and audio. But I genuinely enjoyed the original.
