If you played the first dead island there you may find this to be a tiny but repetitive as it does sort of follow the main story lines flow but it does offer heaps of new missions and expirences plus a new twist to how the zombie outbreak is spreading.

This is like an extension of Dead Island. I haven't got to play much of it but I still like what I have. There seems to be a lot more zombies/undead in this one and is a bit harder in some areas. If you liked the first game then you will like this one.

This is a very good Zombie hack n slash loot game mixed with RPG elements. Don't go into this game considering a great story. The game play is fun and you will have a blast of a time playing this in a co-op mode.

Is Dead Island Riptide like Dead Island? Yes. Very much so. The visuals and gameplay are pretty much identical, with the same strengths and weaknesses. Same goes for the story and audio. But I genuinely enjoyed the original.

It's seldom that a game review causes me trouble.  I play ALL kinds of games so I can be called on at a moment's notice give a review from the standpoint of an everyman.  I'm not bragging, I am simply admitting that I am a video game addict and have used my addiction to the benefit of others.

This game exceeded my expectations I didn't expect much but it turned out to be a much better game then I anticipated

If you played the first game then you will get the Idea of what Dead Island: Riptide (Pre-order DLC: The Survivor Pack) is about. If you haven't. then it doesn't matter as you can get straight into the action. It's basically a zombie killing game with an awkward story line.

Dead Island was one of those titles that lived and died (mostly) by its infamous trailer. You know, the one that plays backwards as we see a family get brutally murdered by zombies. Oh, and a little girl dies in it. Yeah, that one.

I think it's much easier than the TA ratio implies. If you enjoyed Dead Island and you're looking for more of the same, you'll find it in Riptide; otherwise, you're much better off playing the original. My Rating: 4/10 - mediocre.
