Excellent game! Every bit as challenging and fun as the first. The "black armor" edition didn't really add much to the experience, just a sort of random assortment of free starting gear. It did come with the game soundtrack CD though, which was nice.

A modern fantasy masterpiece.

I got this game for my son a couple years ago, and every time I stopped by his room to watch him play it, I was amazed at the beautiful world, the rich lore, and the interesting characters. As for the violence The game had weapons like a sword, or a dagger, but no guns or knives.

Tough but it's meant to be and that's what makes it a great game. The environments are fantastic and errie. Great series!

Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King

Like I said in my review for Dark Souls II DLC #2 - Crown of the Old Iron King , these reviews are crazy late. Why? Back when these reviews would have been relevant and current, Dark Souls II had finally beaten me.

Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King DLC (for PlayStation 3)

Crown of the Ivory King ($9.99) is the final entry in the Dark Souls II DLC trilogy, and takes players to the frozen citadel of Eleum Loyce. A seething chaos writhes beneath the icy ruins, and the powerful Ivory Crown relic is lost somewhere therein.

Well-designed cityscape and boss fights; Features plenty of interesting enemies, weapons, and equipment; Strong narrative

The optional challenge path is perhaps the worst of the three DLC add-ons; The snowy aesthetic can get a bit repetitive
