Tello is quite possible the cutest drone we've ever flown. There's no reason not to buy it, what are you waiting for?

Let's be honest, a lot of people want a drone to play with, if that is the reason then this is 99% of the way there. Only downfalls are battery life and weight. Spare batteries are not cheap and the weight makes it vulnerable to wind.

So, I went into this with pretty low expectations. I have flown a lot of drones and at this price point AND without a controller, I didn't expect it to be anything special. I was wrong, this drone is actually pretty awesome. First, the build in flight modes, work.

It's a fun little drone/quadcopter. The picture quality is great for social media, and the video quality is hit or miss depending on wifi signal strength. I bought the Tello a couple of weeks ago, and my son and I have had lots of fun with it. Camera is ok for looking and getting s different perspective, but it's no comparison to what phone cameras can do these days. Camera doesn't perform very well in low light.

This could be classified as a toy drone, but it could also be classified very realistically as a "beginner's drone" too, since it handles SO similarly to a Spark or Mavic Pro. If you own a larger drone and one a little for-fun flyer, this will feel very at-home.

An excellent little drone that is fun to fly and easy to program. I bought the drone to teach myself how to control it through programming and, thanks to the internet, found communities of developers who have done just that!
