DJI Osmo Mobile 2

The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is an attractive accessory for videographers, travelers, and vloggers who primarily use their smartphone for image capture. It adds Steadicam-level stabilization, and gives you the tools to capture stunning time-lapse footage with motion.

Affordable; Long battery life; Tripod socket for mounting; Works with most smartphones; Very effective video stabilization; Time-lapse, Hyperlapse, and panoramic stitching modes; Supports Android and iOS

App omits 24fps capture for video; Low-resolution output for stitched panoramas; Some exposure inconsistency when making panoramas; Internal battery isn't replaceable

DJI is most recognizable for its drones , but their aerial devices make use of a very important aspect of photo and video - stabilization. For full size cameras, DJI offers a slew of gimbals, and last year they shrunk these products down to size for smartphones.

Portrait mode is great for social streaming Lighter design makes usage even easier than before Longer battery life and power bank support Tripod mount on the bottom Added video features are creative and fun

Changing orientation requires readjustment; bit of a chore Would have been nice to rotate to portrait WITH the phone mounted DJI's history of inconsistent Android app performance

DJI's New Osmo Gimbal Is the Rare Phone Accessory That's Actually Worth It

Running around the office with the DJI Osmo Mobile 2, I got a lot of questions. Specifically I got exactly two questions repeatedly. The first was about what I was holding. Each time, I explained that the weird selfie stick-like contraption I'd put my phone in was a mechanized gimbal that...

It's crazy cheap and the footage it produces looks lovely

The controls take a LOT of getting used to

trustworthy!

everything is good for me! i think the plastic material is a good choice, because that made OM2 much lighter than others, i could hold for long time~~ also the shooting is so stability for my IPX, diepel my doubts.

Love it, Easy to use.

I already had experience with a DJI product and I absolutely love it. I was a bit worried about the quality of using just my iPhone 7 for photography. I was very surprised by the outcome. Be sure to balance it, it is explained in the manual or use an internet search for a video. It is easy to use.

Returned it - Seemed to not be compatible with iPhone X

The device wouldn't calibrate, would randomly 'drop' my phone and not attempt to stabilize, and would seem to wobble all over while trying to take a video. I'm not sure if the device was just having issues overall or if the iPhone X wasn't fully compatible despite the DJI Go app supposedly receiving...

DJI Osmo Mobile 2

The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is the popular drone company's most refined gimbal for smartphone cameras yet, so much so that it could take camera stabilizers, which up until now have been a niche accessory, mainstream.

Lighter in every way; including price; New portrait-orientation mode; AI-powered subject tracking

You can't flip cameras mid-recording; You have to physically switch orientation; Micro USB port rather than USB-C

DJI Osmo Mobile 2 review: Superb stabilisation

We all use our smartphones to record video, that's a given. But even with high-end smartphones having built-in stabilisation, video captured on the move can still come out shaky.

Super-smooth stabilisation in multiple modes; Improved hardware controls; Long battery life; Also charges your phone

You can't flip orientation mid recording; No microphone mount this time; Micro-USB recharge rather than USB-C

DJI Osmo Mobile 2 review: the Steadicam for the SnapChat generation

The Osmo Mobile 2 improves on its predecessor in every way. It's more affordable, weighs less, does more and lasts longer. It's so good we'd recommend upgrading from the previous one, and if you haven't previously considered investing in such a device because of the high price then this is the...

AI-powered tracking; New portrait mode

Orientation change is manual; No mid-record flipping
