Works great!

Easy to install and getting good speed. My service is 200 Mbps, so getting 100 Mbps, happy with the units. I didn't expect to get anywhere near 2000 Mbps as I don't plan to have a home gigabit network system. Ok, now I need to get a 5 port switch and connect multiple devices to it.

WARNING: Not only does this adapter lack a passthrough socket, but it is sufficiently large/bad-designed that it blocks adjacent power sockets in ALL directions. This means that you may have problems simultaneously plugging it directly into a wall socket (required for optimal powerline performance)...

The DHP-701AV is rated for 2000Mbps, which is extremely fast for such a device.

» Simple plug and play operation; » Provides high speed data transfers; » Ready to stream HD and 4K content; » Low power mode lets the devices draw up to 85% less electricity; » Expandable - up to 16 adapters can be added to your "powerline network

» Was expecting it to be even faster; » Included CAT5 cables (not CAT5e or even CAT6; » No power outlet pass-through provided

D-Link DHP-701AV review: This HomePlug AV2 MIMO powerline adapter wins the speed prize

If you seek the fastest powerline performance currently available, look no further than the D-Link Powerline AV2 2000 (model DHP-701AV). In my tests using the Jperf network performance tool, throughput averaged almost 350 megabits per second--more than 50 Mbps higher than its closest competitor, the...
