Haedware Ver B2

Ordered for use with Fluke Airmagnet Analyzer and Omnipeek.DLink changed the chipset to Ralink 5572, so hardware version is now incompatible with both products.

Poor Linux support for B2 revision

This leaves you with the Ralink drivers which are source downloadable from Ralink's website, but they're kind of buggy. If you fiddle with them it's possible to get improvement, but getting them to compile and install on 12.04.1 Ubuntu seemed leave them in a state where they drop connections...

It's not like the hardware is horrible..

On Linux if you get the B2 revision of this device it will use an RT5572 chipset; which is not supported (to my knoweldge) by Kernel drivers listed on wireless.kernel.org as of 11/2012

Disappointed

It has been more than 6 months since purchasing the D-link DWA-160 usb adapter. The product worked fine all this time. So I never gave it a second thought that it would stop working. I came back home from the store to find my internet connection disconnected.

An average Wi-Fi adapter.

With built-in Wi-Fi now a regular feature of the latest PCs and notebooks, the role of the humble USB adapter is somewhat diminishing. However, with the expansion of 802.11 draft-n Wi-Fi into homes over both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, chances are your computer isn't transferring files at the fastest...

Dual band operation; detailed Wireless Connection Manager

Large; poorly implemented WPS; relatively poor speeds; no Mac OS X support

I would have expected better coverage from a device this expensive...

Works fine again now

Upgraded to Win 10 from Win 7 and the adapter wasn't recognized at first. Removed it as a device, then physically disconnected it, then reconnected and Win 10 discovered it automatically. Works fine again now. Seems reliable. Had it 4 years now.
