D-Link EXO AC2600 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router
The D-Link EXO AC2600 router (DIR-882) has everything you'd expect and more for $150. (It's around £125 in the UK, and it's AU$350 on D-Link's Australian site .) It's a dual-band 802.11ac router with one 2.4GHz band and one 5GHz band, having theoretical speeds of 800Mbps and 1.7Gbps, respectively.
Pros:
- Affordable and fast with all the latest features
- like MU-MIMO
- beamforming
- multiple USB ports and four spatial streams
Cons:
- Customizing your settings can take awhile
- D-Link advertises support for 160MHz channels, but this router currently can't use them
- Very low flash memory

D-Link DIR-882 AC2500 MU-MIMO Router Hardware
If you don't buy your PC's ready made, chances are you've gone through the setup and configuration frustration phase. That time when you first get everything plugged in where it should be and things seem ready to go. However when you click the switch and hope for everything to work… nothing happens.

Not worth it
Always loved D-link devices but this router is the worst one I have ever had. Don't be fooled with all the new tech in this device.
Pros:
- Easy setup
Cons:
- Didn't work out of the box
- Smart connect didn't work
- Dropping signal
- Hard line devices not working
- No better than a AC1900. Waste of money & time

It seems to work as described, BUT 1) there is a loose screw rattling around in the case - I can see it through the ventilation slots. 2) as others have said, the power lead is ridiculously short - approx. 1 metre. Although it can be wall-mounted you would need a rather high socket to do this.

IPv6 problem
I upgraded from an older D-link product and was disappointed to find I could not get IPv6 to work with my Comcast Native IPv6 modem. My older D-link worked fine using IPv6 protocol. I returned the unit for a different brand as IPv6 internet connectivity is important to me.

Problem with no 802.11b support
I have a Fitbit scale that requires the old 802.11b wifi to work. I'm also having problem with my Moto Z2 rebooting about every 20 minutes. So I installed my old Netgear router with 802.11b and my scale works great. A surprise my Moto stopped rebooting after connecting it to the old router. Jerry
