"A sweet thing"

Was a wee bit tricky to set up, but after I installed the lastest firmware it sorted all issues I had

I was a bit hesitant to buy this device based on previous experience of another portable router made by Netgear. This device was advertised by D-Link as having a firmware update to accommodate 3G/4G compatibility and a list of the compatible modems that can be used on this device.

If this one ever wears out i will definitly buy another one.

Love it! comes with great features and the internal battery has come in handy more than a few times! It's really light and great for travel.

D-Link DIR-506L SharePort Go Mobile Companion Reviewed

Introduction If you're a road warrior and need a portable router, you now have an new choice. Recently, we reviewed the D-Link DIR-505 , a small, portable compact travel router in a wall-wart form factor. We concluded that it was a good router, but faced stiff competition from less-expensive brands.

Runs for up to 4 hours on a rechargeable Li-ion battery; Multiple modes designed to accommodate most travelers; Extensive user guide available online; USB port can be used to charge cell phones from the battery

Lacks external mode change switch; Android/iOS SharePort apps not particularly useful; No Ethernet bridge mode; Power supply not included; 1 amp power requirement exceeds 500ma capacity on USB 2.0 ports
