I just plugged them both into the same power strip, pressed the buttons, unplugged one and moved it to the other room where the main router was. I plugged Ethernet in at both ends and it just worked immediately. So easy! Just what I wanted!
Had major issues with Wireless to far end of the house. Installed this and no problems at all. I have it connected to a Sony BluRay player and there was no issues with setup. Runs Netflix beautifully. Highly recommended.
It's truly Plug and Play; Just plug it in and it works.
Unit is a little bulky; Hard to fit beneath a 3-prong outlet, but it works
I am not sure what is going on, but this product burnt out on me 3 TIMES already within 1 year! I am going on to my 3rd replacement from Dlink. When it works, it works great, but I am not sure why I am having so many issues...my home is only 4 years old so dont think its an electrical thing.
All works properly but the lack of instruction on how to set up and sync them is a problem I had to call the company to find out how to sync them and I am quite knowledgeable about electronics but once I had set them up properly I have has no problems at all
Durable construction; Highly Compatible; Improves Performance; Reliable; Strong Connection Points
Lack Of Instructions
I am happy to say the D-Link adapters work perfectly. I was worried because I am unfamiliar with any D-Link products but so far my internet connection has been excellent. I use the adapter for Xbox Live and my connection has always been full green compared to other gamers who show yellow or red.
Very impressed at how simple these are to setup. Basically plug in and it works. I used these on a customers site to get a network into an office some 60 metres from the main site. Wireless wasn't reliable enough. All I would say is, make sure they are plugged directly into a proper wall socket.
Over the past few years, we've all become accustomed to using wireless technology wherever we can. Plugging an Ethernet cable into a laptop may even seem completely alien to some people who are less ‘techy' than most. However, as good as wireless technology is though, it has its weaknesses.
THIS POWERLINE ADAPTER WORKED IMMEDIATELY OUT OF THE BOX, NO SETUP WAS NEEDED. THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS ADAPTER IS TO ESTABLISH A WIRED HIGH SPEED INTERNET IN MY LIVING ROOM BECAUSE I NEEDED TO HOOKUP A MEDIA PLAYER BOX FROM A TV INTERNET PROVIDER, I DID NOT WANT TO RUN RJ45 CABLE FROM MY ATT MODEM...
Hands-up, I am a bone fide, paid-up member of the Powerline fan club. As a resident of Bath, getting a solid, reliable Wi-Fi signal from one end of my thick, stonewalled flat to the other is an exercise in futility.
