A couple of years ago, I spent some time with Crysis 2 on the Xbox 360 and there is no doubt I certainly enjoyed my experiences with the game. It was a stunner in the visuals department and by and large a smooth shooter experience that featured a multiplayer component which far exceeded my...
Crysis 3 puts you back in the alien-DNA-enhanced nanosuit of the Prophet, a man beset by strange visions as well as a tasty suite of abilities including night vision, brief invisibility or invincibility and the capacity to hack enemy hardware.
First things first, the Bow!!. That's an awesome weapon to have, and I keep switching back to it every time I have enough ammo. The game play is awesome, and prophet and his suit are more one than ever, the missions more of a linear path , and straight into hell.
WOW! Is this a new xbox console game such is the graphics,no wait a minute its not is still the 360! Well from the water dripping, rain fall on the ground, running down walls etc,to flowing grass in the wind and that it moves when you move through it!
Crysis 3 is probably the prettiest game you'll ever see on a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 . The PC version really pushes the boundaries in terms of tech, but its console cousins are no slouches, either.
That's the good news; On the down side, Crysis 3 sometimes struggles to live up to its promise; None of its guns are as memorable as the weapons you wield in a Halo or a Call of Duty game, for example, while the campaign's fairly short and filled with the sort of set-pieces you're likely to have...
Short campaign; Disappointing gunplay; Set-pieces are a bit predictable
The alien Ceph - so determined to take over the planet in previous Crysis games - seem to have retreated underground. But the nefarious CELL Corporation isn't taking any chances.
+ Wonderfully crisp and colorful visuals; plenty of satisfying ways to dish out death, + Exceptional online multiplayer modes, maps, and features, especially the new Hunter Mode
? Why do so many CELL soldiers have the same voice
ON A PERSONAL NOTE: I have not been happy with the overall direction of Crysis since the
The most technologically advanced game on the market
Not as exciting as the predecessors.
There are aliens out there in the chin-high foliage. You hear the rustling and glimpse a black carapace between blades of grass, but you can't tell if you're being stalked by a single grotesque beast, or a horde of them.
Attractive visuals that present a unique mix of the natural and the industrial; Each weapon; including the new bow; is a pleasure to shoot; Open levels and nanosuit powers provide combat flexibility; Entertaining multiplayer modes
Remarkably easy; all the way to the end; Lacks the standout battles of earlier games in the series; AI is easily exploited
Hate story, like power-stealth, and love multiplayer? Get in.
Redeeming multiplayer; Looks fantastic; Stealthy bow-crawling is great; Harder levels much more rewarding
Story fails to engage; Short campaign; Potential realised slightly too late
