The Creative Sound BlasterX H5 is one of the few headsets that appears to have been designed with the rigors of frequent gaming in mind. The even sound is suitable for a variety of platforms, and it's obviously been set up to get the most out of the PS4 and Xbox One's controller connections.
If you're looking at a sub-$150 gaming headset, there's not much better than the BlasterX H5.
The clarity; The feel; The price
The rumbling bass; The accessories; Playing at full speed ahead
These sound awful. Initially thought I hadn't plugged them in properly but they are just not very good. I got some beats headphones as a freebie and they are much much better. The only thing these have going for them is that the are very comfortable.
Plenty of gaming headsets overdose on lights, extra features and superfluous additions that don't actually give any improvement to sound quality, making you question why you've paid over the odds for it in the first place.
Here you see the latest headphones from Creative Labs, the Sound Blaster X H5 Pro-Gaming headphones. The headphones were recently released at Gamescon in Cologne, Germany. As with music the quality of the gaming experience depends a great deal on the quality of the headphones you use.
Great sound; No battery needed; Lightweight; Very comfortable
Perhaps the length of the microphone for someone with a large face
It's been a good few years since we last saw a headset from Creative, but the company recently launched a new range of gaming headsets within its Sound BlasterX family. In total, there are four new headsets, including three over-ear and one in-ear.
There are some very important features that every gaming headset should have and at the top of that list is comfort. Some may argue that sound quality or features are what define a gaming headset but, if the headset don't fit well or becomes uncomfortable after a short time then it isn't very good.
Comfortable Headset; Lightweight; Good Sound Quality; Detachable Microphone
PC audio plugs are not well marked; Speakers are quiet and require more volume

Worth every penny I paid.
My wife only lets me use headphones so I started a search; First bought Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset; Liked them and tried several others but always went back to Creative; For several years I used them and noticed the Creative Sound Blaster Inferno.
