Comfortable Headset Lightweight Good Sound Quality Detachable Microphone

It's been a good few years since we last saw a headset from Creative, but the company recently launched a new range of gaming headsets within its Sound BlasterX family. In total, there are four new headsets, including three over-ear and one in-ear.

Here you see the latest headphones from Creative Labs, the Sound Blaster X H5 Pro-Gaming headphones. The headphones were recently released at Gamescon in Cologne, Germany. As with music the quality of the gaming experience depends a great deal on the quality of the headphones you use.

Perhaps the length of the microphone for someone with a large face

Plenty of gaming headsets overdose on lights, extra features and superfluous additions that don't actually give any improvement to sound quality, making you question why you've paid over the odds for it in the first place.

These sound awful. Initially thought I hadn't plugged them in properly but they are just not very good. I got some beats headphones as a freebie and they are much much better. The only thing these have going for them is that the are very comfortable.

If you're looking at a sub-$150 gaming headset, there's not much better than the BlasterX H5.

The Creative Sound BlasterX H5 is one of the few headsets that appears to have been designed with the rigors of frequent gaming in mind. The even sound is suitable for a variety of platforms, and it's obviously been set up to get the most out of the PS4 and Xbox One's controller connections.

Summary: One of the best headsets we have used in recent times. Quality audio experience, good platform support and impressive build quality.
