Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Sound Card
I bought this sound card around Dec. 2008 to replace my SoundBlaster Live! 24 Bit basic card (an okay sound card), because I wanted just a little more sparkle in my games, DVDs & mp3s. It gave me that, and a whole lot more. I bought the card for $69.95 USD at BestBuy.

Very good replacement sound card
This card has worked perfectly from day one.
Pros:
- This sound card is a ton better than the on-board sound card
- The card has many setting that let you tweet the sound
- On some games this card has the ability to add echos and 3d effects
- It makes games sound awesome
- In FPS games you can hear the bullets whiz by your head.

BEWARE
This card looks good at first, but its what you dont see thats the bummer, so read on. This card really isnt a good option as it is outdated and very unstable in todays machines Creative no longer supports this card..

very good card
best pci card for gaming. I always use creative. pci cards are better than pci-express .they are more stable. they don't break down. the features deliver excellent quality. recommend it to everybody. tell creative to keep making pci cards.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio
I bought this over a year ago and it's only just recently I've had the equipment to use it to it's full potential. I love it. Great sound for both music and movies, and a damn good price too. Recommended.

Buying a sound card for a new PC isn't something many of us have thought about doing for many years. After all, motherboards have built-in audio that does the job just fine, right? Well, that's true to a point.
Pros:
- Excellent sound quality
- intuitive mixer interface and equaliser settings
Cons:
- Some games may not run properly under Windows Vista
- so it's best to check Creative's Web site for the games compatibility list

SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio
I have used creative sound cards many times before and they have never let me down. I was pleased to see that it was more geared for music / media. I did not need all the extras included for gaming.

Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer review
Bargain? So would I buy an X-Fi Xtreme Gamer? You might be surprised to hear that I wouldn't. I've been thoroughly impressed with the sound quality from the card and the performance in games but this isn't the card for me. One of the drawbacks of the Xtreme Gamer card is a lack of connectivity.
