Corsair SF450 PSU

Corsair enters the SFX PSU market with its new SF series consisting of two models at 450W and 600W capacities. Both power supplies are fully modular, promise high performance and come with 92mm fans to minimize noise output.

Full power at 45°C; Efficient; Silent operation; Ripple Suppression; Load regulation; Transient response; 5VSB performance; Compact dimensions; Quality caps; Build quality; Fully modular; Hold-up time; Warranty

Price; No option to deactivate the semi-passive mode; No Berg adapter is provided; ATX cable should be longer; Some users might not like the lack of an SFX to ATX adapter in the bundle

Corsair SF450 450W

In the not to distant past, Corsair came to us with the first of a new line of SFX size units meant to raise the game of that small form factor to a whole other level. And the unit we looked out was suitably impressive. But that unit also has a little brother that goes by the name SF450.

Powerful, Tiny and Silent

It would have been LOVELY had Corsair included an SFX to ATX adapter plate. That part really chapped my toosh. I would have gladly paid an extra $5 for it.

Tiny 450 Watts 92mm Fan while others have 80mm Fan stays off 100% of the time for me Completely Modular

Does not come with an adapter plate Cables are too long (Go figure an SFX Power Supply will probably be used in a small case right) Don't like the fact that they put 4 Hard Drive Power Connectors on one cable

Would prefer no paper manual or cloth bag to reduce waste. Acquired ATX adapter elsewhere as NCIX did not seem to carry one. This review was modfied by poster @ 08-05-16 06:53 PM

Silent since fan stays off and there is no electrical noise (buzz or whine)

Power supply par excellence

Corsair has yet to disappoint. I wish I'd used only Corsair products since building my i7 rig in 2014. When my PSU went out, I chose this product. I installed it today, and I wish I had recorded the unboxing. The packaging that Corsair uses is unreal.

Corsair SF 450 and SF 600 PSU Review

Today Corsair release two new SFX power supplies – the aptly named SF450 and SF600, in 450 watt and 600 watt capacities respectively. One of the talking points with these power supplies is the adoption of large 92mm fans, breaking the SFX trend of 80mm or smaller ‘noisemakers'.

lovely understated appearance; 105C Japanese capacitors; 92mm low noise fans; can deliver over their rated power before shut off; ripple suppression; load regulation; High levels of efficiency; 5 year warranty

SFX power supplies are expensive

Not the most durable PSU I have bought

Bought this July 2016, stopped working December 2017. Had a lot of over heating issues prior to the unit failure. Will buy another brand now.

Cable quality is not great

The power supply fits perfectly in my node 202 case, however the cables that came with it are incredibly stiff and difficult to work with. To the point where I can't even fully connect the 24pin cable to the PSU completely.

Little Guy, Perfect Size

I used this PSU in 2 different cases. First one was a silverstone. That case didnt fit the way i needed it, so i got an amazon mini itx case. Fits perfect, and fully modular is super nice as well

Great PSU

Love it, well worth the price.

I read all the reviews; compared stats and shopped prices before coming to the conclusion that this PSU is perfect for my moderate computer in the Corsair Air240 case This thing gets amazing scores on every review and it has perfect length cables

It does not include the SF to ATX adapter but they're $4 online or I'll cut one in the garage
