Works exactly as advertised. I bought it essentially to quiet down my PC, my old PSU was very noisy. When I installed this one in the PC, I was amazed at the silence! However, something then happened that I didn't expect: since the PSU fan does not spin until a certain load/temperature is reached...
In the picture it showed the power supply having flat black cables, I was expecting flat black cables, i did not get flat black cables.
80+ gold; silent; looks good in any build
no flat black cables
The 650i is shorter than the other power supplies in this series, which is why I bought this instead of one of the higher-wattage versions. I'm using it in a Fractal Design Define R5 case with a 140mm fan in the bottom center fan slot.
Quiet, stable, has a long warranty, and is from a company with a good track record for customer service if anything does go wrong; So far, it's been rock solid for me; The Corsair Link software that measures the PSU performance, system fan speeds, and temperatures works as advertised
The ATX; CPU; and PCI-E power cables have capacitors on them to help reduce ripple and provide cleaner power to the system; but it does make those cables a bit harder than normal to route cleanly because the first few inches of the cable is stiff.
Electrically, the performance on this PSU is steller, I wish I'd gone with the "X" version though, the Corsair link software is 100% bloatware, the hope was that the Link software would allow me to define a good, always on fan curve, but it didn't have that, it just had a mode that made the fan...
Hi, this product is the best for my machine with i5-6600k,GTX1060 and many components. The best is; fan not working on temp.0-40 degrees. It's means low consumption of power and this PSU will works 10 years like warranty and more . It is wonderful.I have satisfaction.
Smazing power supply but if you are strict on cable management you will have to buy a couple better cables for 1 or 2 things
Corsair Link lets you click and drag to create a map of temperatures throughout a virtual pc to find your weakspots looks great and feels great a lot of cables come with it
No manual or sheet comes with it besides warranty card cables are meh
The Corsair RMi Series 650W fully modular power supply can be purchased from Overclockers UK for a very reasonable £104.99 . This is a little expensive for a PSU of this power output, but when you factor in the build quality, Corsair link features and semi-passive operation, it's very impressive...
Fully modular cables; Incredible seven-year warranty; Exceptional ripple suppression; Semi-passive design; Fan-test button; Corsair Link; Switchable single/multiple 12v rail; Sense wires + extra capacitors for voltage and ripple regulation

Not too long ago, we looked at an exciting update to the RM series of units that added Corsair Link functionality to the line. Today, I'm looking at the 650 watt variant of the new RMi platform, with high expectations indeed.
